The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports has endorsed this race. 

Participants in the this event who are 18 years of age & older are eligible to be one of only 300 participants to run over the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day of the following year. 

To date, this has been the only event in Tuscola, Huron & Sanilac counties in which runners may qualify for the Mackinaw Bridge Labor Day Event.
